Data deletion
Last updated
You can delete the information MaxReach holds about you at any time. MaxReach is operated by MaxPoints; this page explains each way to delete your data and what happens to content you have already published.
1. Disconnect a social account
In MaxReach, open the Accounts page and choose Disconnect next to the account. MaxReach deletes that account’s stored access tokens straight away (for Bluesky, the app password too), and can no longer post to it or read from it.
Then remove MaxReach in the network’s own settings too, so the network itself ends MaxReach’s access:
- Facebook, Instagram and Threads: remove MaxReach from the apps and websites connected to your account in its settings.
- YouTube: remove MaxReach on your Google Account’s third-party access page.
- TikTok, X, LinkedIn and Pinterest: remove MaxReach from the connected or authorized apps in the account’s settings.
- Bluesky: delete the app password you created for MaxReach under Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords.
2. Delete posts and media
You can delete any post, draft or uploaded photo or video in MaxReach at any time, and it is removed from MaxReach. Even if you don’t, media is cleared automatically 30 days after every post that uses it has been published, and uploads that no post uses are deleted after 90 days.
3. Delete everything
To delete all of your MaxReach data, email support@maxpoints.com from the email address you sign in with and ask us to delete your MaxReach data. Within 30 days we delete your whole workspace: connected accounts and their tokens, posts, captions, schedules, media, analytics, comments, settings and API keys.
Your MaxPoints account also signs you in to other MaxPoints products. If you want that account closed too, say so in the same email.
Content already published on a network
Posts that MaxReach published to a network stay on that network after you delete them in MaxReach, disconnect the account or delete your workspace, because they belong to your account there. To remove them, delete them on the network itself.
